Photographic records, preserved in quiet routine.
αrchive transfers original RAW, HEIF, JPEG, and video files from your camera to a Mac or network storage over Wi-Fi. Synchronization begins when the camera is switched on, or while it rests switched off on a charger, requiring neither cables nor card readers.

01Features
Designed for quiet continuity
αrchive works quietly in the background, filing photographs and videos into your chosen folders as they arrive.
01
Unaltered files over Wi-Fi
RAW, HEIF, JPEG, and video files are preserved exactly as written by the camera.
02
Camera-initiated sync
Switching on the camera begins transferring new photographs and videos.
03
Verified before saving
Each file is checked against its size on the camera before it is saved, and existing files are never overwritten.
04
Local and network storage
Maintain the library in a Mac directory, on an SMB share, or both, with the option to keep only a lightweight local cache.
05
Backups while charging
When the camera rests powered off on a charger, αrchive awakens it via Bluetooth, completes the backup over Wi-Fi, and restores it to standby.
06
An orderly library
Browse chronologically by date, filter by aperture, shutter speed, ISO, focal length, lens, and location, inspect histograms, export to JPEG, or open directly in Lightroom.
07
Private by architecture
Requires no account and relies on no servers of ours. Photographs and videos travel directly from camera to your own storage and are never sent to the developer.

- For backup over a local network, the camera must join the same network as the Mac, with remote control from a computer enabled.
03Support
For questions, bug reports, or refund requests, please contact us by email. Inquiries are typically answered within a few days.
- Which camera models are supported?
- αrchive supports select camera models equipped with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. If you are unsure of your camera’s compatibility, please send the model details by email before purchasing. If the software fails to operate with your camera after purchase, a full refund will be issued.
- Must the Mac remain awake during backup?
- Backups run while the Mac is awake and αrchive is open. If the Mac goes to sleep, synchronization pauses and resumes automatically when it wakes.
- Can the application delete or modify files on the camera?
- No. αrchive operates strictly in read-only mode and will neither modify nor delete files on the camera.
